It is agreed that;
1. I shall make my services available to the pupil for the sole purpose of giving driving tuition at the rate per lesson as from time to time shall be agreed.
2. The lesson fee shall be paid in advance for each lesson.
3. The instructor will carry Motor Insurance covering the pupil whilst driving the tuition vehicle when accompanied by the instructor or by a DVSA examiner.
4. The pupil agrees that he/she is duly licensed to drive the tuition vehicle.
5. The pupil fails to give me a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel any lesson the pupil shall be liable for the lesson fee in respect of that lesson.
6. If upon arrival for a lesson, the instructor deems that the pupil is unfit to take the lesson through the misuse of drugs or alcohol, then the instructor has the right to cancel the lesson and the pupil will be liable for payment for the lesson.
7. ROAD SAFETY – I reserve the right to withdraw my car for tests without notice should the pupil prove not to be up to test standard. I will advise the pupil when to book a driving test.
8. RESPONSIBILITY – I will not be held responsible for postponements of lessons due to mechanical breakdown, nor for tests postponed by the DVSA.
9. In the event that I have to cancel a lesson due to mechanical breakdown or illness then I will re-arrange another lesson at a time suitable to both parties.
10. In the event of a driving test being postponed by the DVSA due to bad weather, strike action or illness, I will require payment for my services.
11. A claim for compensation will have to be made direct to the DVSA to cover any costs incurred by yourself.
12. When booking a driving test, please check my availability beforehand.
13. In the event of a breakdown whilst my vehicle is being used on test and the test being cancelled, I will not be liable for any further expenses incurred by yourself.
14. If you are taking any medication, please check the labels to make sure you are safe to drive.
15. It is hereby expressly agreed that these terms and conditions are made solely between the instructor and the pupil.
